The Rich Girls Are Weeping is curated by super best friends Cindy Hotpoint & Pinkie Von Bloom. (And yes, they took the name from the Brian Eno song "Cindy Tells Me.")
They formerly lived in Austin, Texas but are now based in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
They also dj, design upscale knitwear for the discerning gentleman, have totally bizarre day jobs and collectively own approx. 250 pairs of party shoes and more than 2,000 records.
Almost all of the content contained herein is dependent the vagaries of your hostess' weird tastes and whatever they're really into these days. As such, The Rich Girls Are Weeping does not focus as strongly on flavor-of-the-instant acts as some mp3 blogs; however, if you are in a band or with artist or label management and would like to send promotional materials to Cindy and Pinkie, drop an email to elegantfaker AT gmail DOT com. (NB: We receive a lot of email -- please don't fret if we don't get back with you right away! Urgent messages & mashnotes can be directed to cindy.hotpoint AT gmail DOT com)
Hosting generously supplied by Bunkadoo and slyblue.com.
We also post more spontaneous content at our Tumblr, The Rich Girls are Weeping Take Notes.
The mp3s at this site are for evaluation purposes only. If you like what you hear, please support the artist(s) in question. Thank you!

I saw him at the Milkkveg in Amsterdam in 87 (I think) and he was p-r-e-t-t-y wasted. ;-)
Wow--thanks for that.
Amazing! The Iggy Pop influence really shows in this footage. I just read " Theres Something About Jonathan" and according to the book JoJo apparently saw every west coast performance of both Velvets and The Stooges. This is very charming. I love Jonathan.
