You'll probably laugh, but once upon a time, this video scared the bejeezus out of me. Now, I think we'll all agree that young William Broad is just totally, totally hot -- and I have more than a few friends who kind of look like the wedding guests!
that was when we lived santa fe. you would run from the room everytime it came on mtv. santa fe...the place where people dress like carrots for halloween and the high school guys next door were screaming as they hung off the roof.
the second year we lived there, the gallery had an opening for works on paper by new yorker cartoonists on halloween night. sadly, the gallery was unable to secure the presence of the great charles addams. happy all hallows eve, babe. and yes, it is and always will remain one hot, hot video.
i blush, i smile, i laugh. you guys rock and made my morning that is filled with...what? six weeks of lesson plans due tomorrow for a grade? you mean i have to know what i'm going to do every single moment? i don't know if i can handle the pressure...
hope y'all had a good time last night. we did...i took the night off and watched way too much House M.D. from the netflix.
The Rich Girls Are Weeping is curated by super best friends Cindy Hotpoint & Pinkie Von Bloom. (And yes, they took the name from the Brian Eno song "Cindy Tells Me.") They formerly lived in Austin, Texas but are now based in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
Almost all of the content contained herein is dependent the vagaries of your hostess' weird tastes and whatever they're really into these days. As such, The Rich Girls Are Weeping does not focus as strongly on flavor-of-the-instant acts as some mp3 blogs; however, if you are in a band or with artist or label management and would like to send promotional materials to Cindy and Pinkie, drop an email to elegantfaker AT gmail DOT com. (NB: We receive a lot of email -- please don't fret if we don't get back with you right away! Urgent messages & mashnotes can be directed to cindy.hotpoint AT gmail DOT com)

It was not, however, as scary as Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World!
Did it snow that first Halloween in Santa Fe? I remember that it did, and I had to wear my coat out trick or treating.
Cindy, I hope it's not too presumptuous of me, but may I say that you have the coolest mother - ever!!
She's TOTALLY awesome. I'm a lucky kid. (...and I use that term very loosely!)
If you want to see some genuinely creepy music vids I put up my top ten last night.
I'd say the scariest Billy Idol clip is actually Cradle of Love. Yuck.
