The Rich Girls Are Weeping

13 September 2006

I may be on the verge of losing all my credibility entirely. The new My Chemical Romance song, "Welcome To The Black Parade," which is completely unquantifiable in its bombast, is uh, completely, unrealistically wonderful. Queen? Sure. Meat Loaf? You betcha. Green Day and all its antecedents? Well, yeah. Anything composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber between 1977 and 1988? OH YES PLEASE GIVE ME MORE!

Stream "Welcome To The Black Parade" at its own very special website. (Thx to Brian and well, Pitchfork...)

I'm shocked and appalled that you don't remember adding me on MySpace! *cries*

MySpace is good only for two things:

1. Messaging people who are using my photos without my permission or a photo credit (seriously, it happens a lot)
2. Getting new mp3s and tour dates from bands who can't be bothered to update their actual web sites.

The only thing that makes it bearable is Greasemonkey on Firefox, and lots of nice user script hacks.

I friended you SO long ago, I guess that's why I forgot. Mea culpa?

I need to utilize some of those fancy Firefox features more actively!

I can't believe admitting this, but I actually like the music they make.

(I just killed any pretentiousness I had running for me. Oh well.)
