Extremely quick post. You know, so I'm not late for work. The Editors cover The Gorillaz' "Feel Good, Inc." -- it reminds me of ... America's "Horse With No Name." Seriously. From Radio One, March 13, 2006 with Jo Whiley.
(Oh, bother -- they don't use the preposition er, article, do they? Just...Editors then. Of course, I can't change it now or it'll muck up the RSS feeds.)
Thank you Pat for pointing out that it's not a prrposition. Those are those things people dangle at the ends of sentences constantly, like "at" and "to."
Oh bother, you all know I was just kidding about the credit thing, right? The information wants to be free, etc. and all that. I just hope people enjoy what I post, etc.
Pat & Nicki: Duh, you'd never guess that I'm an editor would you? (: ARTICLE totally does not equal PREPOSITION. I really need to write these things after my morning coffee. Seriously.
The Rich Girls Are Weeping is curated by super best friends Cindy Hotpoint & Pinkie Von Bloom. (And yes, they took the name from the Brian Eno song "Cindy Tells Me.") They formerly lived in Austin, Texas but are now based in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
Almost all of the content contained herein is dependent the vagaries of your hostess' weird tastes and whatever they're really into these days. As such, The Rich Girls Are Weeping does not focus as strongly on flavor-of-the-instant acts as some mp3 blogs; however, if you are in a band or with artist or label management and would like to send promotional materials to Cindy and Pinkie, drop an email to elegantfaker AT gmail DOT com. how long until this shows up on stereogum?
Make your wagers now.
The other burning question -- will they give me credit?
Peter Pedantic says, "It's not a preposition - it's an article. Definitely."
