Labels: Arcade Fire, cons of living in NYC

Geez louise with cheese! I got up at 8:45 to try and get Arcade Fire tickets for one of the five shows at the Judson Memorial Church. Needless to say, I didn't get through. Apparently, neither did Stereogum readers, but Brooklyn Vegan commenters had a little more luck. Apparently the trick was to login a few minutes early. Sheesh. The level of desperation on Craigslist is already totally terrifying. Ah, well. Such is life. Time for breakfast, I say. More later.

i hate you for sleeping until 8:45
Ryan, don't hate on Cindy too much. She's enjoying the last days of "pre-employment." (You know, kind of like unemployment, only different.) I like to remind her that her days are numbered.
Also, please continue to remind people that I'm semi-independently wealthy for the next three weeks. Ha! I get to be carefree NYC hipster scum for approx. 17 days. Which, in reality means staying up too late watching movies on Turner Classic. Which is EXACTLY what I did last night after dinner in the East Village.
I logged in a few minutes early and had no luck, even after trying for an hour or so. Sigh.
There must be a way...
i had four screens open to tickets.com and was fully logged in on each one, with the credit card saved.
started punching in sequentially at the stroke of 0900.
went through innumerable thirty-second standby screens on them all. finally got into the order screen on a couple, but still got 'too much traffic' messages when i tried to complete the purchases and never made it.
the hell with it. i'm happier with tickets to see the thermals again in march.
I also tried & failed to get tickets to the fiah. I don't even want to look at the craig's list madness.
Looks like we'll be at the Webster mold and mildew farm with everyone else. =P
strange that melee on craig's, especially this caveat.
they took down the craig's list post! what was it?
it was a lengthy post warning that the tickets, whether purchased or purloined from another, could not transfer to someone else.
something tells me Win and Regime will be making some supa-sweet love toniiiiight...
